For some reason, this film always made us laugh, so we around 2006 or 2007 (I forget when) we went ahead and dubbed the film into a comedy (ala Woody Allen’s “What’s Up Tiger Lily?”). Unfortunately, the first few minutes are just a rephotographed TV, while the rest of it is from a TV copy. It took months for us to come up with the right dialogue to insert, and it was all performed by the three of us. The process was primitive; using two VCRs and a Camcorder’s mic, recording all the sound live to the recording of the footage. The music is from John Barry’s score for Thunderball (1965), and the opening theme is Night in Tunisia by Dizzy Gilespie. You might not think this is funny all the way through, but the few things that stand out make it all worth while.
Enjoy!

The story continues, as Jack Ryan (Harrison Ford) and John Clark (Willem Dafoe) must recue a small team of Commandos held captive in a columbian coffee factory, while on a secret raid of coffee beans by the U.S. Government. Something I failed to explain in clear detail in this version is that Clark gave his men coupons for Burger King instead of delivering full rations. High cholestral levels and fatigue from over eating was a factor in the ease of thier capture in Columbia. Hope you can follow the rest.

Tune: “O Haupt voll Blut und Wunden”/”Mein Gmüth ist mir verwirret”
(J. S. Bach/Hans Leo Haßler) (first published in 1613)

Thomas Zachariah “Tom” Glazer (September 2, 1914 – February 21, 2003) was an American folk singer and songwriter known primarily as a composer of ballads, including: “Because All Men Are Brothers,” recorded by The Weavers and Peter, Paul and Mary, “Talking Inflation Blues,” recorded by Bob Dylan, and “A Dollar Ain’t A Dollar Anymore.” He wrote the lyrics to the songs “Melody of Love” (1954), and “Skokian” (1954).

He also wrote the musical score to the film A Face in the Crowd (1957). Glazer also wrote and sang the eco-conscious title song in the 1966 movie Namu the Killer Whale starring Robert Lansing and Lee Meriwether.

Glazer was married to Miriam Reed Eisenberg; the marriage ended in divorce.

Glazer, with Dottie Evans, recorded three children’s records in 1959 and 1960 that were part of a six-album set known as the Singing Science Records. They contained songs intended to explain science concepts for young children, all of which were written by Hy Zaret (lyrics) and Lou Singer (music). One of these albums, Space Songs, included the song “Why Does the Sun Shine?” which was later covered by They Might Be Giants. His greatest commercial success came with his original recording of the song parody “On Top of Spaghetti.” In 2008, Glazer Smithsonian Folkways Recordings released Tom Glazer Sings Honk-Hiss-Tweet-GGGGGGGGGG and Other Children’s Favorites, a signature collection of Glazer’s live performances.

Glazer also recorded a number of children’s records in the late 1940s and early 1950s with Young People’s Records, Inc. These included When I Grow Up, The Chugging Freight Engine, and Come to the Fair.

Best Buy

Senseo Douwe Egberts Medium Roast Coffee Pods

Hands down, the best Senseo blend Ive tried! Its better than most of the "gourmet" coffee served at restaurants and coffee shops.

It goes well with many grind and brew coffee makers. I use a Grindmaster OPOD brewer. It makes a great cup of coffee. This yeilds a smooth cup of coffee, which I prefer.
